60-Second Radio PSA

(WIND HOWLING, CHANGE CLINKING IN A CAN, FOOTSTEPS WALKING PAST, TRAFFIC NOISES, SIRENS IN DISTANCE) More than half a million Americans don’t have a home to go to at night. (SOMBER MUSIC) A quarter of this number are children. (BABY CRYING) Nearly forty percent are women, who are often victims of abuse. Five years ago, thirty-six thousand Iowans were homeless or at risk of homelessness. (MUSIC CHANGES TO UPLIFTING) Hope Ministries has been working to lower that number in the Des Moines area since 1915, offering food, shelter, clothing, and life recovery support to those in need. But… they need your help. In their mission to love their neighbors: Hope Ministries relies largely on community donations of supplies, time, and prayers. For more information and to learn how you can help, call 515-265-7272 or visit hopeiowa.org. Hope Ministries: Hope for the Homeless.
